Direct Payment Plan

Con Edison's Direct Payment Plan (DPP) eliminates the need to write checks and mail in bills. It's a safe, secure, and convenient way for customers to automate payment through a checking or savings account. Check eligibility and sign up by logging in to your account. Once you've enrolled, your payment will be automatically deducted 10 days after you receive your monthly bill.

For more information on the Direct Payment Plan, see our brochure, read a list of FAQs, or call us at 1-800-752-6633.

Level Payment

Our level payment plan estimates your average energy usage and spreads payment evenly across the year. This allows you to budget wisely and to avoid seasonal energy spikes.

Your actual energy usage will still be tracked and reflected in your monthly bill, and your usage will be evaluated three times per year to ensure that you are not being overcharged.

Energy Choices

It's your power, your way. Choose from a multitude of energy service companies (ESCOs) and Con Edison will deliver your power.

To learn more about your options click here.

Voluntary Time-of-Use

Save money by simply shifting your energy usage. Learn more about our Voluntary Time-of-Use program to decide if it's for you.

Payment Agreements and Extensions

Payment Agreements

If you have received a final termination notice because of an inability to pay your bill, you will receive a payment agreement offer with standard terms at least 10 days prior to cessation of service. We will work with you to arrange suitable payment terms. If you are having trouble paying your bill under the terms of the standard agreement, please call us at 1-800-75-CONED to discuss whether alternate terms can be reached.

Payment Extensions

If you need extra time to pay your bill, log in to your account and request an extension. Payment extensions are available up to 20 days.
