NEW YORK – Con Edison today announced that Katia Gordon has been named director of Staten Island Regional and Community Affairs.
Gordon, a fourth-generation resident of Staten Island, began her career at Con Edison in 2004 and has held a number of positions, most recently as Staten Island Regional & Community Affairs manager.
“Katia is a committed leader who has a proven track record of building and strengthening relationships with the Staten Island communities we serve,” said Kyle Kimball, Con Edison vice president of Government, Regional & Community Affairs. “Her strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and positive demeanor are inspiring to everyone.”
Gordon holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mercy College in
New York. She is a member of the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation’s Executive Women’s Council, where she mentors high school and college students.
As an advocate for education, Gordon is passionate about helping young people reach their full potential. She also served as an instructor for Staten Island Chamber of Commerce’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy program, helping high school students turn passions and interests into viable businesses.
Gordon enjoys parenting her teenage son, and spending time with family and friends.
